Joe Valentine is the Director of the Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department. The Director oversees all of the programs the Department provides, including: income, medical, and food assistance; employment services; Head Start and state funded pre-school services; child welfare services; services for seniors and adults with disabilities; and the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence initiative. Valentine has served as the Department Director for 5 years and has over 30 years experience managing public human service programs.
